The
HPI model 4083 Canary III is an electronic personnel dosimeter.
It is the ideal instrument for monitoring a wide range of exposures.
The Canary III integrates dose on a digital display from 1 mR to
999,999 mR. It incorporates an adjustable beeper as well as an adjustable
integrate alarm. The memory function is also user selected. The
display is automatically reset when the on-off switch is moved from
off to on.
The battery life of the Canary III is 2000 hours or almost a year
of normal work-time use. The battery test button is conveniently
placed on top of the instrument along with the power switch and
beeper.
The Canary is housed in a small anodized aluminum case that easily
fits into a pocket or clips to a belt or lanyard.
The Canary III is available in two models, the 4083 with a recessed
power switch and the 4083P with a finger-operated power switch.
